How can I adjust the height of a section (hero image) on mobile and tablet?

I would like to adjust the height of my first section for mobile and tablet so that the next sections will shown on the first frame. 

I tried this code but it is now working. 

@media screen and (max-width:767px) {

min-height:50vh !important;
}
}
