Sorting filters for blog posts

I'm looking to create a simple 'sort by' filter, I'd like to be able to sort trips by:

-dates

-type

-age group

sort of similar to the trip sort feature on this website https://moondanceadventures.com/trip-finder/ (I know it's not build in sqsp.) I'm wondering if this is a possibility in Squarespace.

I was thinking it would be easiest to build each trip within the blog posts, but I am not sure. Any ideas?

Yes, I have ideas, it will take a bit of work on your part but not a lot. Use blog post summary blocks, These blocks can be on a standard page or as part of a blog post. That is the way I do it. I have two blog pages, one with my complete posts and one where the posts are grouped by category using summary blocks that pull content from my main blog. The main blog, I moved it to my unlinked section so it would not appear on my Nav bar and the blog page with the summary cats took its place in the linked section.  Try it out here if you wish to see how it works. I have a drop down archive  menu that sorts a great portion of  this as well as drop down menus on the Nav bar.

Yes. Use Filter Plugin to achieve this.
