Hi @KelliRad! Your photography work is stunning. Congratulations on getting a website up!

I'd recommend making a few updates:

  • Put your logo / site title in your navigation so that people don't have to refer to your domain name or footer to know who you are.
  • Adding a background color to your website footer will help it feel a little more complete. I'd also suggest adding a sentence or two about who you are / what you do.
  • It looks like you have 2 links to your instagram in your footer but you only need one. 🙂

As a photographer, don't forget that implementing some basic SEO practices you can help you reach a wider audience. Take a look at Squarespace's guide for some tips: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205814568-Increasing-your-site-s-visibility-to-search-engines

I agree with WCS

My thoughts:

  1. Your promotion bar at the top: Have a call to action, such as "click here to book now"
  2. "WELCOME.", It will look cleaner without the fullstop
  3. The footer seems very spaced out, I suggest to close the gaps and as WCS said, no need for 2 instagram links. I would get rid of the word link and keep the logo link
  4. Maybe have your pictures on the homepage to be a bit more interactive, with a hover animation. Plenty of picture hover animations if you google.

Hi everyone,

I *finally* created a website for my photography business. Can I get some feedback? There is one page that is currently password protected, so you can ignore that.

Thank you!

Hi,

I see text break on tablet

Add to Design > Custom CSS to fix

/* Tablet-Mother-Text break */
@media screen and (max-width:991px) {
div#page-section-6136792496754e3b7e0e829a * {
    white-space: nowrap !important;
    font-size: 30px;
}
}

Nice job. One suggestion, this:

I am a portrait and lifestyle photographer who focuses on creating honest, thoughtful, joyful, and present work”

would work nicely at the top of your home page rather than buried on your about page.
