Center logo with cart & social plus full width nav below

Hi, I would be really grateful with some help to create a navigation layout. I have searched through the other full width nav posts but nothing works well with what I'm trying to achieve.

I would like to use the center/stacked header layout option. With the centered logo, social icons to the left and shopping cart to the right. Then a full width nav below.

And in a perfect work, keep the search bar in the nav too, which I've added by attaching it to the social icons. But if I have to get rid of it I can come up with another solution for the search bar.

The problem I'm encountering with the codes I've tried is with the social icons and shopping cart pushing off the page, particularly at smaller screen sizes.

Some of the Squarespace 7.0 templates have really great centered header layouts but Squarespace 7.1 has been left without. To be honest, this isn't something that you can reliably retrofit. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but I wouldn't attempt to achieve this for a client on 7.1 because it will require layout changes and is likely to break.

Thanks for replying. You're right, I've been missing 7.0 so much working on this particular site!

And I came to the same conclusion really. I've managed the full width for the navigation area to allow ofr all of the categories to display, but the other items I've just created a different design solution.

I think that's for the best. I'm sure some bright spark can provide some code to do this, but knowing how the headers work in the code, I think it's a bad idea to try to change it. This is one of those issues that is best fixed by Squarespace's own engineers, so worth making a feature request so that we can benefit in 2023 😉
