Changing the template photos to my own

Hi. I am brand new and am changing my website from Shopify to Squarespace. I don't plan to sell as much but some. I also hope to change my fine art website to this one. Meanwhile my site has not ported yet. 

Can someone tell me how to change the photos in the template I am using to my photos? 

And tell me where I should have found this information instead of bothering you all? I'm not a newbie to technology but we all know when you move from one place to another, it is difficult to find where all the information is. 

In a side line of my life I have multiple sclerosis which upon occasion (such as now) gives me or makes me cognitively challenged. (We all get something and when my MS flare goes somewhere, I presume I could figure this out on my own).

Images can be stored in various locations, so it will depend on how they were added to the template. You may find it helpful to start by watching these videos: Video Series: Getting Started with Squarespace.
