Creating simple Anchor tags

I have an faqs page that I want to create anchor tags for.  At the top would be a list of the topics which would, when clicked, jump to the appropriate text on the page.  I tried using the code block option but nothing worked.

<a name="q1"></a>

Do you mean anchor links? You can try the steps described in my link
