I find it interesting that iDEAL isn't integrated in already since Commerce is meant to be suitable for a Dutch audience, yet doesn't allow us to use the most frequently used payment option in the Net

Squarespace does not support iDEAL. Much as I love Squarespace, iDEAL support is not expected any time soon so if you need it now you should probably consider another ecommerce platform. I wrote about some options here: How to add Klarna, zip pay or IDEAL to Squarespace.

However, if you can afford to wait for iDEAL you can lend your support to the many requests for this by contacting Squarespace Customer Care to raise a feature request using a standard support ticket. Note that Squarespace employees don't routinely monitor this forum for feature requests (see the guidelines - item 6) so adding comments to this thread won't make a substantive difference.

Most Dutch people cannot pay with their cards using the standard process... Messaged customer support but it probably isn't on the top of developers to do list.

iDeal is THE way to pay online in the Netherlands and it's a shame that many Dutch businesses aren't able to use Squarespace as it's not supported. Since Stripe already supports iDeal, this naturally seems like a great option. Squarespace are loosing a lot of business as a result of this!

I and others have messaged support and posted in forums and it definitely feels like many will just give up on this and go elsewhere.
