Seeking way to fine-tune space between columns

Is there a way to tweak the space between columns. I have three side-by-side text blocks and the text looks very cramped. I tried using spacers between them but that creates way too much space.

I find I can get the right amount of space if I indent the text in columns 2 and 3, but then in mobile you have that same indent, which looks a bit odd.  I could also indent column 1, so they'd all be consistent on mobile, but then you've got too much of a margin on the left on desktop, and anyway, I don't really want an indent on any of them on mobile.

Any suggestions?
