Make changes to appearance of Sold Out button

I'd like to make changes to the appearance of the SOLD OUT button on my site.  I feel that I am missing a connection here that I should make.

Details:
Template: Avenue 7.0

Class:  "product-mark sold-out"

In Custom CSS I have tried:

.product-mark.sold-out {
    background: #ec2410;
    font-weight: bold;
}

Yes - thank you for taking the time to look, bangank36.  The entire time I was doing this I was looking in the wrong place to see the changes.  Once that was corrected it was straightforward.
