Is Squarespace ever going to connect with Square for online payment processing? (not just POS)

I've had so many client who use Square and want to stick with it as their main payment processor. Are there any plugins or extensions that would allow for this? 

I am similar to your clients. We run a non-profit and process all of our payments through Square. It really would be nice if it can be done on our Squarespace site also here in Canada.

It isn't possible to integrate Square payments with Squarespace Commerce for online orders. The only way to do this is to use embed an alternative checkout, for example using Ecwid. I wrote an article about this here: Add Square Payments to your Squarespace Online Store.
