How to make the Site password entry page responsive

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://epwsociety.com/

I have added a site password to my website so it is accessible only to people who have the password.  When reaching the password entry page provided by Squarespace, my users get a "try again" every time they try to enter the password with a copy and paste.  Also, when entering the password character by character, the page always requires a minimum of two attempts before accepting the password.

Is there anything I can do about that?  It makes access to the website very aggravating to my users.

I think I found an answer to my own problem.  I had previous difficulties changing a prior password.  During correction of that, I set a password for both the complete site and the same password for my home page.  Thus, when the user entered the password to get to my site, they were taken to my home page - which also expected a password (the same one).  Clearing the home page password cleared up that issue.

Also, the problem with copy and paste was probably because the users are inadvertently adding a space at the end of the password when copying - thus making it an invalid password.
