I have set up a Custom Form for a product in Inventory in Commerce. I want to duplicate that form for another product and change one field that is specific to the new product and then rename the new form . Is this possible and if so, how?

Duplicate the product that has the custom form and then edit the copy. I think that's the quickest/easiest way. Just change product title, product photo, description, and product URL. Then edit the custom form.

Thank you for your reply. I tried that, but it also changed the name of the original form for the other product. I don't see a "Save As" type option for the custom form or a Duplicate form option. There is a lot of fields in the form and it will be changed for every "product". It is for an online entry system and each entry form has specific event information in one field only. The rest of the form stays the same.

This is not currently possible.

If you want a small change to a form, you must start again - which is extremely frustrating!

I face this issue often and encourage you (and anyone else who is affected!) to request this feature by raising a ticket through Squarespace Customer Support. (Circle members can do so using this link).

ahh, that's a bummer. i have only tried duplicating non-product pages with forms in them, but the forms were short and don't have a lot of fields! wish there is a way to save forms that you can insert instead of starting from scratch each time.

I would also find duplicating or save as option for forms super handy, I create custom signage and often listings vary in material or finishes, or completely different designs but many of my forms where customers would add custom text or specifications only need to vary by a field or two. SOOOO time consuming creating listings with squarespace!!

I too need to duplicate forms! Could SquareSpace please give us the ability to duplicate forms, re-name and edit them?

Thanks!

I too would really like to see this feature added for the same reasons listed above: Its a huge timesuck to be duplicating relatively complex forms for many products. Get it going Squarespace!

So would I! However, Squarespace doesn’t use this forum to track demand for new features or to accept feature requests. To ensure your request is seen by the right people at Squarespace, you are encouraged to raise a ticket through Squarespace Customer Support 🙂.
