Customizing Testimonials Using Summary Section From Blog

I have added sliding testimonials to my homepage (see below) using a summary section from a blog page. I would like the arrows to be below the text in the center, anyone know how to do this? I would also like a small round photo above each testimonial and when I use a thumbnail it is way too big. Thanks!

Hi, 

I also need help with these arrows. I have managed to centre them but would like to change them to a different arrow icon and change the colour of them and potentially add a border to the arrow section. 

Can this be done?
