I don't suppose anyone else has found a way to set up a new website subscription using a sub domain have they?

Hi Paul.  I think I am missing something.  The Domain is purchased through Squarespace so I can only create a sub domain from within the associated website (https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205812058).

I want to keep with website live and use the sub domain on a separate website but the error I see when I try to connect with my sub domain is "This domain is registered on another Squarespace site. To move it here, follow this guide".

If I transfer the domain - What happens to my initial website?

Thanks
Henry

This is a standard Squarespace feature so if it's not working as expected or the documentation is not clear, I recommend you contact Squarespace Customer Care directly to explain the issues you are experiencing.
