Blog subscriptions - can you filter by category?

Hi people - can I request help please;

I'm currently listing job vacancies on our SS site, utilising it's blogging facility.

I want to add an option for visitors to sign up to job alerts (aka register for emails when new 'blogs' are published).

The newsletter block will allow me to gain blog subscribers - but, it's limited in that, visitors will receive every post we publish (making it less personalised to individual preferences). 

I'd like to make it so that a visitor can subscribe to job alerts/the blog, but only receive select posts related to a specific category (or tag, if easier to setup).

So for example, a visitor could subscribe to only receive email alerts when new Java Developer jobs are posted with the category 'Java' - instead of just receiving all vacancy posts we publish.

Any advice?

I think you need to use email service (eg: MailerLite, Mailchimp) to achieve this.
