Show total inventory for all variants

I'm looking for a workaround to show the total remaining tickets available every time a purchase is made. Customers have the options to buy 1-4 tickets at a time. I'm stuck manually updating the count right now every time we receive an order (thank god this ends September 30) but for the sake of keeping my boss happy I would like to have some way of automatically updating the stock depending on how many tickets are purchased. Right now I have variants in place to provide the four different cost options so I can't just display the number in stock from one item.

This is complicated to try and express by text so if you have questions I get it. Please let me know if there's a way to keep the count accurate even when someone purchases three tickets at 1am while I'm sleeping. Thanks in advance!

If you use the Squarespace quantity selector instead of variants, you can show the number of tickets remaining by using the Limited Availability Labels feature or custom JavaScript. However, if you use variants, you'll be unable to manage inventory without an expensive (>$35 per month) third party addon.

Now, how do you manage the total inventory? Each variant has it's own inventory, but you can't just say 100. Proof the email laptop latte workers who run Squarespace have never run a brick and mortar business. This is the most basic use case, I have 100 pork loins for a pop up dinner, that's my limiting factor in inventory. I offer 3 variants, indoor seating, premier piano side seating and rooftop throw rocks seating. My options are 33/33/34
