Hello, I am using 7.1 and am having a heck of a time figuring out how to remove the grey background on my photo card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!229032771_ScreenShot2021-08-18at8_42_05AM.thumb.png.c1b8f75b422cfd704200dadbdb9c903a.png

Hi. This should be in Design > Site Styles > Color > Image Blocks.

Have you solved it yet?

I was having the exact same problem - I edited the CSS to make the image circular, and a grey background popped up. I went into the site style editor and became so desperate, I removed the grey background from *everything* in the entire associated palette (LOL). There was no more grey anywhere in the palette and yet.... the background remained grey.

I finally ended up changing the image from a card to inline, and that fixed the problem. Very weird.

No CSS editing is required to fix this.

  1. In 7.1, click the paintbrush icon in the top right corner, when you are in EDIT mode of your page.
  2. Right column appears, click on colors.
  3. Select the currently active theme under "Customize your themes" . The current active theme is actually shown left to this right column.
  4. Now (finally!), click on the picture with the grey background, it will show which colors apply to that item.
  5. Most likely, it will show IMAGE BLOCK: OVERLAP , there, you can click on Image Overlay and make it transparent and/or white.

This will remove that grey background, as you will notice. I must say that I noticed some caching (the grey stayed) when I reloaded the page in another tab, I tried it several times, until it finally worked. Not sure what caused the delay, but this procedure is definitely the right one to get rid of the grey background. This edit is site-wide, but only for the 'theme' you selected !  Repeat if you use several themes, which most sites do.

Yes, this will do. Thanks my friend.
