How to se List section as a Summary Block for Blog

Hi!  I created a blog and a summary block.  But I don't like the design of the summary blocks and like the design of the List Sections.  I would like to have the list section design for a summary block, but don’t understand how to do this.  I reached out to Squarespace Help and they answered that it’s not currently possible to apply a summary block to a page section layout, due to how the summary block functions and they would recommend looking into custom code options.  See  2 current options below: the regular summary block that pulls all the info from the individual blog posts and  the list section in which I currently need to link buttons to the blog posts, it doesn't pull the content automatically.  Is it possible with CSS?
