benhopeartist Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 I have added a checkbox to a contact form on my site. When someone contact's me using the form, the purpose of the checkbox is simply to tell me if they also want to be added to my mailing list (I will then add them manually if it is checked). BUT when the form results are emailed to me THERE IS NO WAY OF TELLING whether or not they have ticked the box. Any idea how to solve this? Thanks in advance.
benhopeartist Posted August 12, 2021 Author Posted August 12, 2021 UPDATE: the solution is that you have to have a label next to the check box (in addition to any title or explanation above it). Only then is there a difference in the email between a checked box and an unchecked box.

Kate_B Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 (edited) Hey, thank you for this - I'm doing the same thing and was stuck with the same issue, then I found this post which helped me figure it out. I'm also trying to figure out if there is a way to automate the mailing list sign up (using Mailchimp as email provider) if someone ticks that checkbox in a standard Squarespace contact form? Or would it have to be a manual add to the mailing list? Does anyone know if there's a way to do this? Thanks Edited February 26, 2022 by Kate_B
