Adding Filters to a Portfolio page

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://bell-rust-j6b5.squarespace.com

Trying to cobble together a simple portfolio site for architects where you can filter each project by a category; ie. Residential, Commercial, Public etc. I was going to purchase a filter plug in, but it appears portfolio pages don't have the option to assign a category to a page. Is my only option to create these pages as a Blog? Visual attached of what I'm trying to achieve. Thanks!

Hi.

With Filter Plugin, they allow you to use SEO Description to assign category. However you will need to tweak some code to achieve this (not sure plugin author supports this).

or you can use Blog Page to achieve this. If you have problem with hover effect when using blog page. We can help this!

@Graphicaljordan blast from the past! The site looks great and it looks like you were able to achieve the filtering on the portfolio. Did you end up using the Filter Plugin? I'm trying to achieve a similar treatment for my design portfolio.

Yes. It looks like they used Filter Plugin. I checked their code & found Filter plugin code
