How to enable digital products variants (Formats) options in 7.1

Hi 

my website is www.abitorange.com , It is about selling quilting designs in different formats as different machines requires different formats. I want to have my customer options to choose the format before buying it.. For example https://annebrightdesigns.com/product/cross-wires/  this is a product where customers are asked to choose the format so the buyer upon buying the design get that specific format in the digital download and not the all the formats. 

Please help me regarding this. I hope you will come with an awesome solution. 

you can't assign variants for digital products. you will have to create separate digital products for each format for different machines.

I do that already, I just want my customer to opt their desired format - like in this website  https://annebrightdesigns.com/product/cross-wires/ . 

yeah, that would be variants -- and that's not possible for digital products in Squarespace.
