Rename an uploaded image (gallery page)

Dear forum,

I am running Marta (Brine family) and I know that there is a feature, where I can edit the filename of an image after uploading it, just by clicking on it and selecting "Edit". That is quite useful.

Well, the same procedure doesn't seem to work as soon as you've uploaded the image to a gallery page. You can click "edit" and you can click on "settings" - but in both menus there is no option like "file name" to rename the image.

Can you give me a hint? 🙏

I'm fairly shocked that this hasnt' been addressed in many years.  Having a robust ability to change the filename without having to replace images -- potentially hundreds of images on a site -- would be incredibly tedious.  Access to CDN dashboard to do basic things I think is way better than in-website photo editor for example -- which there are hundreds of apps for.  But this situation needs help from Squarespace directly and there's no work-around that's efficient time.  When the connection is there, just the name needs to change.   Especially tedious in galleries.  

HELP SQUARESPACE!!  Take a page out of Vimeo who has robust file naming and editing inside the app.  I'd love a database "dashboard view" which would be even more efficient in renaming a bunch at a time like Shopify does -- if we can dream, I mean!

Totally agree, also need this feature ASAP.
