Homepage: Stopping Index Images Changing

Hey all,

Hoping someone can help.

I'm likely (!!!) being totally blind, but I'm coming up against a brick wall with regards to image scrolling on an Index-based homepage.

Template-wise, I'm using Tremont. I want three simple titles -- e.g. "Prints", "Safaris", "About Me" -- that take centre stage in the centre of my homepage, with one static homepage image. Herein lies the problem.

When you mouse over one of the titles (dragged in from an indexed page), the background image changes. If I remove the image within the settings of said page, I just get a black background. 

I've changed the image on the settings of the Index page itself which is "static" until one of the titles is moused over.

Hope that makes sense, I'm absolutely pulling my hair out!

Hi, do you mean once an index page has no background image you want the default background is showed instead of showing black one?
