How to do Alphabetization of Categories on my store page?

Hi, I am having difficulty in arranging my store categories in alphabetized order. I hope the solution might be easier but currently my brain is fogged and have no clue.

You can reorder by going to Store Settings > Categories. Hover over a category, click and hold the drag handle and move them around as desired.

I did try that before posting this question but actually it makes a category, subcategory by merging it under the category already existed....I think that feature is only to drag and drop for making subcategories .... It didn't allow me to reorder without merging the categories.

You'll only create a subcategory if you 'drop' a category on top of another category.

If you 'drop' the category between two categories - when a horizontal line is shown - you'll be able to reorder them. See below:
