FrancoisDu
Hello. First of all thank you for the help you provide in the forum. So helpful! I would like to know if it is possible to remove notes from the source code on our website. Notes as the one I attach in the screenshot: Thank in advance for your time! Link to comment
creedon
I assume these are comments provided by SS or other code providers? If you are trying to speed things up by removing comments any code you could add to the site would probably slow down the site more than just leaving the comments in place. If I'm mistaken in my assumptions please explain further. Find my contributions useful? Please like, upvote, mark my answer as the best ( solution ), and see my profile. Thanks for your support! FrancoisDu
Hi! Thanks for replying. I simply want that in the source code of the website do not appear those annotations that the website has been made using Squarespace. Thank you and sorry if I offended you by asking this. I've seen websites made in Squarespace whose source code does not have those annotations. Edited August 2, 2021 by FrancoisDu Link to comment
creedon
I'm not offended at all. I don't work for SS. Just trying to explain that anything we could do to remove those comments would slow down the website. In other words you and I don't have access to the back end of the web site that Squarespace does. So if Squarespace puts in a comment, anything we can do is after the fact. Removing the comments alone wouldn't mask the fact that a site is built with SS. In the structure of the following page from a SS site the word squarespace is mentioned 35 times. It's pretty easy for someone to figure out it's a SS site. Edited August 2, 2021 by creedon tuanphan 1 Find my contributions useful?
