Customising the way calendar displays

Hi All,

I'm trying to achieve something very simple, but it seems Squarespace automatically makes it more complicated than I need. I want to display their beautiful calendar with blocks showing whether something is booked or not. However, as default the block both shows the details of the event and when pressed moves you to the event page. As smart as this is, I don't need it.

This is what I want people to see...

And these two are what I would like to prevent happening, firstly the event pop-up...

...and then prevent going through to the events page.

If you can help I would be deeply appreciative, as otherwise the calendar is lovely.
