Search item having product image as well as text

Hi,

I saw that another site (on this forum) was able to add the product item image with the text description when you search an item. I was wondering if I could get a code to do this as well, as it only comes up as just the text description for me.

Search results for products should automatically include images; there isn't any code to enable this. I can see that your site doesn't have them and I'm curious why this may be because I cannot replicate this on another site. 

I recommend you get in touch with Squarespace Customer Care (online chat should be open) as they have access to the backend data and cache for your site and should be able to fix this or at least troubleshoot it. You can reach out to them here. Let us know how you get on 🙂

I was able to take a look at the site, and could see the issue myself!

First of all, it's possible that the custom code that was added to the site may be interfering here. Can you try temporarily removing that code from the site to see if it makes a difference? I'm seeing it in the Settings > Advanced > Code Injection section, and the Design > Custom CSS sections.

I'd recommend copying and pasting the code to a text editing program first, to ensure it's not lost. Once that has been saved off the site, try removing it from the site to see if that affects the display at all.

Let me know if it does not, and I would be happy to continue troubleshooting!

If you are using code, did you try removing it to see if the images returned?

I removed all my code then and it didn't change anything.

Hi Pail,

I am awaiting a response.

When I removed all my code the search bar did stay in the header though.
