Resizing Images - adding white space around images

Hi There,

After review on my product pages - the best fit aspect for images is 16:9 wide screen - so have been able to include video etc as well. But in doing that aspect - I then need to edit all my pictures to be 16:9 ... so when i go to edit to change the image box to the aspect and so it doesn't cut off part of the images (as it is doing now)  - there seems to be an angle button -but is there a zoom out button so i can add more white around the edges ?

Really dont want to have to resize and open all my product images again into photoshop....
