RachelFernandes777
Site URL: https://www.rachelfernandes.art/blog Hi there! ๐ I'm using Squarespace 7.1. and want to change my blog layout from listย to grid. However, the Edit option isn't showing for me and I can't edit the full page, only posts. Is there a way to change this? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
creedon
Edit the blog page section. Change the layout. Let us know how it goes. tuanphan 1 Find my contributions useful? MarkDuplock
I have this issue too.ย https://markduplock.com/ I have a section above my blog section and I cannot get the edit popup to show for the blog section, it only shows an edit popup for the section above it. Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
Open config, then pages, then choose the blog page, then you need to scroll down until you see the small menu block that says manage posts pop up, then click the pencil icon next to it that says edit section.ย ย Edited August 8, 2021 by myrandomviews Link to comment
MarkDuplock
Hi, I know what's supposed to happen, but that isn't happening. I get edit popups for all the other sections on the page, except for the blog section. I have 2 blog pages on my site - the News page and the Free Fiction page. The Free Fiction page works fine - I get the manage posts popup. I don't get it on the News page though. I'm not 100% sure I understand what you mean by 'open config, then pages.' I don't have a 'config' menu - so I assume you mean the main menu? Thanks Link to comment
creedon
@MarkDuplock What happens if you move the page sections around. There are arrows for doing this on the page section controls. MarkDuplock
Nothing happens. I can't move the section above the blog to a position below the blog. I can create new sections above the blog and swap the positions of the sections above the blog, but none of the sections will move below the blog. I also cannot create any sections below the blog. There is no option available. Thanks Link to comment
MarkDuplock
I just recreated the page in an offline page. The page layout is as follows (markduplock.com): Header Blank section with 2 image blocks and a code block Blog section Footer I started with a blog page template, deleted all the default posts and added 1 of my own.ย I added the blank section above the blog section and added the contents there. The page worked fine and I still had all the edit options available. Then I added a 2nd blog post to the blog section and I lost all the edit options for the blog section. ย Not sure what's going on, but I think this is repeatable. Thanks Link to comment
creedon
@MarkDuplock So odd! Let me see if I can reproduce your steps and issue. Anything unusual about the content you are adding to the posts? derricksrandomviews
The op's link isย ย to a site using Native which is a 7.0 template.ย MarkDuplock, which page is your blog page? We can inspect it and see if there is a problem.ย ย Edited August 9, 2021 by myrandomviews Link to comment
MarkDuplock
It's the home page that's the issue. markduplock.com I have a 2nd blog page atย https://markduplock.com/free-fictionย that uses the same template, but doesn't have additional sections on the page. There's no issues with that page. I am using some custom CSS, but I've tried commenting it out and didn't see any improvement. Cheers Link to comment
MarkDuplock
Fixed it - it was my own fault, but you had probably guessed that already ๐ I had a div that wasn't closed in my code block in the top section. Fixed that and now I have the edit options for the blog again. Thanks all for your time, sorry about that! creedon 1 Link to comment
