Is there a blog API?

I can't find a way to import blog posts (without another blog) or events.

The API seems to only work with products. https://developers.squarespace.com/commerce-apis/overview

Is there a blog or event API somewhere? Or has someone made a plug in to import posts or authors?

You can only import the blog using Import feature from admin panel

Please see Exporting your site.

I do not know if Shopify can import the exported file directly. It may need post processing to turn it into a format Shopify might deal with. I do not know what the post processing would be. I've not done it and I've not heard of it being done.

Thank you, SS doesn't make it easy do they? lol.

Obviously they want to make it hard to leave the platform, which makes sense.

Thanks for the tips.

Cheers.

SS is not alone in this. Most big companies do this. They also don't want to be labeled as locking you in so they often put a minimal amount of effort into export methods. The WordPress format is a no brainer as many systems are able to import that format.
