keight_brenner
I can't find a way to import blog posts (without another blog) or events. The API seems to only work with products. https://developers.squarespace.com/commerce-apis/overview Is there a blog or event API somewhere? Or has someone made a plug in to import posts or authors? You can only import the blog using Import feature from admin panel BeyondSpace - Squarespace Website Developer 🖼️ Lightbox Studio (Enable Pinch/Zoom on lightbox) 🗓️ Delivery Date Picker (Squarespace Date picker form field) 💫 Gallery block 7.1 workaround 🥳 Sparkplugin Customisations Browsers (Browse +100 Spark plugin customisations) 🥳 Elfsight Template Browsers (Browse +1000 Elfsight widget Templates) If you find my answer useful, let's leave a like or upvote so others with the same issue can find their solution. jagnz
How do we export the blog content though? I need to export the blog content our of Squarespace so I can import it into a Shopify Blog. Thanks! Link to comment
creedon
Please see Exporting your site. I do not know if Shopify can import the exported file directly. It may need post processing to turn it into a format Shopify might deal with. I do not know what the post processing would be. I've not done it and I've not heard of it being done. Thank you, SS doesn't make it easy do they? lol. Obviously they want to make it hard to leave the platform, which makes sense. Thanks for the tips. Cheers. creedon 1 Link to comment

Obviously they want to make it hard to leave the platform, which makes sense. SS is not alone in this. Most big companies do this. They also don't want to be labeled as locking you in so they often put a minimal amount of effort into export methods. The WordPress format is a no brainer as many systems are able to import that format. Find my contributions useful? Please like, upvote, mark my answer as the best ( solution ), and see my profile.
