I am ok with having orders continue to come through as 'test' since there is no payment method set up. But I want to remove this 'checkout is closed' header on the store checkout page to avoid customer confusion.

The only way to remove this message from the checkout is to add a payment provider to your Squarespace website. There is not a way to remove it from the checkout with code. caddyshackproject Posted July 11, 2021 Author Posted July 11, 2021 @paul2009 Thank you! We don't have a payment provider so will be unable to do this. I think my best solution is to add a bit of text in the check out saying to ignore that message in the banner.
