unable to keep images in place in Utica gallery

Hi!  

I'm attempting to use an image Gallery in Utica that intersperses horizontal and vertical images.  I need to have my images in a specific order.  Squarespace allows me to drag and drop images in the editing panel--to a certain extent.  I'll get close to getting them in order, then squarespace will automatically reorder some of the images.  I'm wondering if there is a workaround.  Or if I just need to put images that go together into smaller image blocks, so they are independent and fixed.
