Member Area features should appear in the site's native language. If the site is set to German and the Member Areas elements are appearing in English then I recommend you contact Squarespace Customer

That did work. I had the automatic translation turned off ... duh...

Member Area features should appear in the site's native language. If the site is set to German and the Member Areas elements are appearing in English then I recommend you contact Squarespace Customer Care to report this. They will be able to access the site backend and investigate.
