Third party analytics for podcasts - and the Squarespace Audio Block

Hi does anyone know if third party analytics will include podcast plays from within the website, or will they just pick up downloads via RSS?

Presumably SS just sticks the third party analytics URL in front of the path for the audio file. So if you click 'play' on the audio block, presumably it triggers a play-count with the third party analytics (Blubrry free analytics) as it'll play the file via that modified URL?

I don't actually know the answer to your question (I'm sorry), but I highly recommend checking out Chartable. I use them for all of my Podcast analytics through use of a trackable Prefix in the podcast tracking portion. Chartable collects data from many different sources — podcast hosting platforms, Apple Podcasts Connect, Spotify, and the tracking service (Prefix), Trackable.
