Fowler
Hi there, Ive been looking around in the forum and all over the website and I cant seem to find what Im looking for. If you use Shopify you are able to toggle on and off insurance for every purchase and it charges the customer. I cant seem to find this setting in Squarespace. I attached a screenshot of what Im talking about. Any info would be super helpful! Thanks!! myrddinemrys 1 Link to comment
sruss76
Compared to Shopify, Squarespace is lightweight in terms of e-commerce features. So no, there's no insurance feature on Squarespace. Fowler 1 Link to comment
KatyPierson
Hi! this is what i am trying to get added to my page now. Did you ever get it added to your website? Link to comment
Fowler
No it is still not something we were able to do. One work around I thought of is adding shipping insurance as a product and have different variations of that "product" to cover whats in the cart. That way they are paying for the insurance. But you would almost need it to come up as a pop up that someone would have to click through our X out that way they cant say "I didn't see it its not my fault" Link to comment
PEN15CLUB
Still no work around to this other than what Fowler mentioned. I'm hoping square space will rectify this issue, especially with the new ability to buy postage directly through them. Sellers NEED to be able to insure their packages, it's a complete oversight of their team to fail to implement the most basic features in a shipping service, like insurance, international postage, & updating the order status when labels are created or parcels hit the mail stream. thistleandpoppy
Hi! I am also searching for a way to add Route insurance. I hope Squarespace allows for this integration soon! Link to comment
Vendor
I really like that they integrated shipping labels, but without an insurance option it’s not worth the risk. So I as well hope it’s just around the corner so we can enjoy the convenience Link to comment
D_Mins
can't send product without Insurance. Still hoping. Flat rate doesn't cover the amounts. Link to comment
