Change home header (logo + navigation) color depending on background image

Hi! I'm adding the finishing touches to my website and I've realized that after setting my header background to transparent, there are some images on my homepage gallery that blend in with the header and make it almost impossible to read.

Is there a way that the header color can be changed (e.g. between black and white) depending on the image shown in the background? It would be good to have for example a white header with darker images and a black header with lighter ones. I'm sorry if there's a known solution for this, but I've been trying to find something similar in the forum with no success yet...
