How to only show collections on shop page and not all inventory

I'm setting up my site but what I'd like to do is display only my categories when a person clicks on my shop page perhaps with a thumbnail. Then when they click on it, it would take them to that specific collection. Right now you see the category menu at the top and just a jumble of everything I sell, which is a lot and a bit overwhelming especially on mobile. Is this doable?

You can add a new page >> Add some text/image blocks/links to create category
