anyone have any idea how to go about doing something similar to this red/orange color splash on page loading or if that is only something that can be done in wordpress?

the site in question is in wordpress and it is not a site i have back end access to,

I have a client that is asking if this is possible to do in squarespace but  dont want to say yes and not be able to do or how to even begin approaching it in sqaurespace

nope, there is a red progress loading bar at the top that animates down to cover the screen and looks like it becomes the background of the page
