How to add Superscript in Markdown Block in the middle of a sentence or paragraph

Hi I'm having issues with the Markdown Block. I'm trying to add superscript on a word in a middle of a sentence, but every time I try, it makes the words after the superscript small. How can I resolve this please, thank you very much,

And here is an image of the result, as you can see, the words right after the superscript are tiny

it should be a opening and closing tag
