tiffatron Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Hi, hoping someone can answer this as I've not been able to find it by googling! Is it possible to disable a payment method for 1 particular product, or I suppose set different payment methods for individual products? I realise there aren't many instances where this would be overly useful, but I have just been informed that AfterPay don't allow you to use AfterPay on pre-order products. Most of the time I'm only offering a pre-order product when there isn't any physical product available in the shop, in which case I can just do a site-wide toggle off on AfterPay in the commerce section. But at the moment I have a few physical products remaining in the shop along with a pre-order product, and I'd imagine most shops would be in a similar boat when offering pre-order products - so can AfterPay be disabled on a pre-order product? I'm connected to AfterPay through stripe so I guess if that were even possible you'd need to turn off stripe/credit card entirely for that product which would not be great. Hmm. Not sure what to do there! Any help or tips on how to get around this, much appreciated. Thanks.

I can see why it would be useful to disable AfterPay as an option for certain products, but this is not currently possible on Squarespace. Have you contacted AfterPay? They may consider it OK for you to sell a very small amount of pre-order items, but they look at this on a case-by-case basis. Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017.
