.kr domain not available?

I found Squarespace is not supporting .kr domains. 

I purchased the other domain(.info) for now, but still don't understand why I can't connect  .kr domains.

It's used widely and officially in South Korea. I want to keep it for my current clients and avoid any confusion if there is a breakthrough.

While .kr isn't a domain extension that Squarespace currently supports, I'd like to clarify that you can still use a .kr domain with your Squarespace site that you'd register with a third party provider. Then, you could have that domain connected to Squarespace by adjusting a couple of DNS settings within your domain provider interface to have it to point to your Squarespace site.
