Help creating a minimalist grid around content blocks

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to create borders around text in a section so that the borders run at the same size as the section. Visually like a grid. My biggest problem with this is that they don't resize for mobile well. Preferably I would have them fall underneath each other when resized but at the moment they just get squashed next to each other.

1. (Footer-Mobile) Make links in 2 columns?

2. (Mobile-Homepage) Reduce this white space?

3. (Tablet-Homepage) Reduce this space?

4. (Tablet-Services) Remove this white space?

5. (Mobile-Services) Similar on mobile

6. (Tablet-Inquire) Increase width?

I should have mentioned that I'm still building so it's all a bit of a mess at the moment! Had to make it live overnight but it's back to password protected now.

The layout seems to have solved itself on mobile (aside from 'I'm passionate about' being too far to the left) but it's not exactly what I'm after for desktop. I'd prefer if the box section was the width of the browser and all lines were even. I've attached the section I was inspired by for a bit more of a visual reference.
