Video on home page

I'm just creating my site and I have a video on the home page. The screen goes white for 3 seconds under the header before the video starts when you type in the home page or first visit the site.  I haven't been able to figure out how to take that white screen away. I tried adding in a black color but then it just went from white to black and then to the video, which was worse. Any help would be much appreciated!

Can we get a link to the website where this is happening?

It may be that the video/element is loading. How large is the video file?
