Overriding 7.1's header text size behavior

I've got my new 7.1 version of my website up and running but I've got dreadful formatting issues with H1 text on mobile and in paned windows on desktop browser (see attached screenshots).

It seems like the page isn't shrinking the text enough to keep full words on single lines. Any ideas?
