Style thumbnails on simple slideshow 7.1

Hi there,

Is there a way to make sure the thumbnails on a simple slideshow are always positioned at the same distance from the slideshow image? See screenshots as to how that currently changes according to the screen page. 

Also, can the thumbnails show on mobile with custom coding?

it always keep same space with the main image, problem is the image get cropped on different screen size so its height is shrink, a work around should be force image display full height of the container (that mean crop the width)
