How do I add a client logo row?

How does one add an evenly spaced row(s) of client logos in 7.1? It's amazing how difficult this is given how common an element it is in most webpages. Am I missing something?

Squarespace has a great help article that goes over creating rows and columns with blocks that might be a good starting point, if that it's what you're attempting to do:

Moving blocks to customize layouts - Create columns and rows

As a note, to create columns that are all the same width, you'll need to have a certain number of them as explained in the guide above.
