Andreu Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Is there any way to show the checkout page in different languages? I know it's possible to translate it from the Settings menu, but then I have to choose one single language. I've checked Weglot but it looks like they've found a solution to translate all the pages but the checkout page. Is there any code that I could inject to do so? Any help will be truly appreciated. Thanks! sorca_marian 1

There isn't a way to translate the Squarespace checkout within the Squarespace platform, even with code. However, Weglot should be able to translate the checkout page if you modify your DNS records so that the traffic is passing through their servers. For example, the screenshot below is from a UK English site, using Weglot to translate it to French. Their guide explains how to do this. Andreu Posted April 10, 2021 Author Posted April 10, 2021 Awesome! Thank you @paul2009! Are there any cons of messing with the DNS records tho? I've checked their demo site and founded out that if you add a product to the cart using the English version and then switch to the French version, the cart is empty. This is because they use subdomains to solve this translation issue. This doesn't look like a big problem to me but it made me wonder if there are some other cons of using this method to translate the checkout page. Have you tested it? Thanks again, Paul!

I'd expect visitors to choose their preferred language before adding items to the cart, so this shouldn't be an issue if the language options are obvious to visitors when they first arrive on the site. If a visitor adds multiple items to the cart in the other language, they can always return to that language to complete checkout. Squarespace stores the cart contents indefinitely. Trying to translate the checkout page with Weglot, but the url you gave to go to the guide is incorrect... It brought me to the Weglot homepage Any update on that?

I suggest taking a look at the guide Creating a multilingual site with Weglot. Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. But the checkout page is not translating when we place an order. Do you happen to know the next steps to have a multilanguage checkout page? website: https://snail-ray-daxz.squarespace.com/ pass: freelance
Andrewmcg Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I am using linguise to translate my site. It does an excellent job for multilingual SEO at a great price but it DOES NOT translate the Shopping Cart nor Checkout. Linguise tell me that this is due to the Json. Any workarounds or solutions? Many thanks.
