Auto-hide Empty Categories?

Recommended Posts

We're currently building a new website for our business, and we've grown fond of Squarespace due to using it for our Coworking space.

We're now building one for our land properties.

QUESTION: Is there a way for us to auto-hide (not remove, but HIDE) categories that don't have products in it?

The reason we don't want to remove the categories (as per Squarespace Support's suggestion) is because we will occasionally have properties within areas indicated on our categories, and we don't want to go through the hassle of removing/adding categories every single time.

Hopefully someone can help us. Thanks!

SS has no built-in feature for this.

SS does not expose data on the page about if a category is empty or not so there is no way to code something with this lack of information.
