Link click tracking

Hello, is there a way to do link tracking in Squarespace?

I have three buttons on my website and I want to track how many clicks I get on each button, even if they all go to the same page. Is that possible?

Hi Polinamireau,

You could do it like this if you're willing to invest few dollars:

1. Get the squarespace click tracking plugin for a one-time-fee, 

2. Then add something to each buttons url. For example:

button 1 link destination: example.com/ineedthis?yellowbutton
button 2 link destination: example.com/ineedthis?orangebutton

This way the information about which button was clicked is included in the destination url of in Google Analytics in a pretty simple way.

You could also use google tag manager and create the tracking yourself following a youtube-tutorial like this one.
