Domain Mapping

Recommended Posts

Site URL: https://daisy-tarpon-72er.squarespace.com/

The website once completed will be hosted by Squarespace (Business A/c) in due course. I am planning to leave the domain name with the third party provider and wonder if I should point the domain to the site before I start the building the website or is it ok to build it and then point the domain to Squarespace once it is completed? I am worried that the URL's may be wrong constructed if I change at the end of the project but would like to keep the existing site live whilst developing the new one.

Any advice?

Build the new site and test it using the built-in Squarespace domain.

When the new site is ready, connect your old site’s domain name to Squarespace.
